Jasmine Spitzer
Associate Instructor of Contemporary Voice & Artistry Development
Jasmine Spitzer is a multifaceted vocalist and educator whose career bridges performance, pedagogy, and the art of fostering authentic musical expression. With expertise across a broad spectrum of styles—jazz, blues, country, rock, gospel, soul, funk—she offers students a combination of stylistic versatility and deep technical understanding.
Jasmine works with singers of all ages and experience levels, providing both short-term coaching for targeted goals and ongoing lessons for sustained vocal development. Her teaching philosophy centers on two guiding principles: vocal empowerment—helping singers claim ownership of their voices, bodies, and experiences to perform with confidence and authenticity—and holistic vocal artistry—cultivating the mind, body, and creative spirit as interconnected parts of the singer’s journey.
In her studio, technique is never taught in isolation. Jasmine guides students through the physical mechanics of singing while connecting them to the emotional and artistic depth that transforms sound into storytelling. She encourages exploration of personal identity, performance psychology, and stage presence, equipping singers to connect deeply with their music and their audiences.
Drawing on years of experience in diverse educational settings, Jasmine has developed a keen ability to meet each student where they are and help them move toward where they want to be, whether that’s preparing for an audition, refining stylistic nuances, or simply finding joy in singing. She views every lesson as a collaborative journey, where the goal is not just to “sing the notes,” but to inhabit the music fully, with confidence, intention, and soul.
Jasmine served as an Instructor of Commercial Voice at Otterbein University during the 2024–2025 academic year and as a Teaching Artist with The Jazz Arts Group from 2019–2025. She currently teaches music in Columbus City Schools and is passionate about building an active studio of singers dedicated to deepening their connection to both self and audience. In addition to her teaching, Jasmine maintains an active performance presence throughout Columbus and Central Ohio. In May 2025, she released her debut album of eight original songs, here, now available on all major streaming platforms.
