Eve Julien
Associate Instructor of Voice
Eve Julien, soprano, has been singing since she was in elementary school, she grew up in Grove City, Ohio and spent her entire youth in the choir programs there. In high school she participated in show choir, school musical productions and community theater in addition to her choral studies. She attended Undergrad at Ohio University where she earned her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance.
She stayed at Ohio University to study with Dr.Stein and earn her Master of Music in Voice performance and Pedagogy. During her time at Ohio University she has sung a diverse repertoire from cabaret music, operatic jazz ensemble, Amy from Little Women, the Sandman from Hansel und Gretel, etc.
Her focus now is instruction, after studying under Dr.Margaret Kennedy-Dygas she has adopted a health focused teaching method. Prioritizing the vocal health and habilitation of a singer through the process of learning music. This includes a science based approach and a fundamental understanding of voice anatomy. She has experience teaching in the styles of classical, cabaret, musical theater, popular music, and alternative music.
Outside of music, Eve enjoys being active with activities like yoga, weight-lifting, and rock climbing. She also participated in cheerleading and gymnastics throughout her youth and into her undergrad.
